We use this card primarily for our stationery & greeting cards as black print looks fabulous on it and many of our customers seek out cards which are recyclable.
We have been designing and handcrafting stationery items for over 10 years and in that time we have tried numerous printing methods. We have settled on inkjet with special pigmented inks producing prints which are sharp, bright and true to screen.
Let us explain why, although, laser printers tend to be the most popular choice owing to water resistant prints and low cost per print we felt that the images produced were dull, less sharp and the printers are not the best for the environment due to their emission of ozone.
However, it's not just the printer we use that's important, the inks that we use are all-pigment inks which, are water, smudge and fade resistant. Pigmented inks do not absorb into the fibres of the paper but rather they stay on top of the surface resulting in a sharper image which is insoluble to water, extremely light resistant and long lasting.
Taking Care of your Prints
Please make sure that your print is stored within a normal range of temperatures and isn't subjected to extremes of humidity or moisture levels. We recommend framing behind glass and kept out of direct sunlight.
